this is typical...
You'll be happy to know that zero miles to empty really means that you can make it 2 miles to a gas station...but I don't think my heart was beating the whole way there....

Nami's!
Saturday we had a double date night with Hope and Jeffrey at Namis. I LOVE that place, and I was so excited to spend some time with Hope and Jeffrey to talk about their new little bundle of joy. Rhett is doing great, and so are his parents!! We were all happily in bed by 10:30! :)
I love my mom....
I could list a million reasons why I love my mom...I mean, I wouldn't be here without her! (literally!!) She has made a huge sacrifice to quit her job and watch Colby every day. As much as I love spending weekends with Colby, I know that it is also exhausting!! THANK YOU MOM!!
I really intended to list a huge list of reasons why I love my mom, but I don't know where I would stop. She is doing something for me constantly, and she is an incredible role model.
Sometimes she will watch Colby at our house instead of hers. On those days, when I get home, I find that she has left notes ALL over our house. Sometimes she'll leave a grocery list of things that we need to pick up the next time we go, or sometimes it will be a note telling us how to clean the shower better, or that the toilet paper roll is empty! :) I literally laugh out loud when I read them....partly because I know that she knows I need reminders or else I won't get anything done!! We love her!! I just had to document the last time she came over....she's a little bit crazy....and the great thing is that I am exactly like her!!! :)
here she added to our grocery list...apparently she has had some issues with our remote...
the note on this bag said "I thought this was a red delicious apple, but it is too tart!"....she took a bite out of the apple and then left it in a ziplock baggie for us!! hahaha....
notes on our kitchen counter included reminders to pack up Christmas decorations that were still out, reminder to put a picture in Colby's 1st Christmas ornament, and interesting news stories from the day....thanks mom!! xoxo
10 months old!
Are you kidding me?!? 10 months?!? I cannot believe Colby has been in our lives for almost an entire year. WOW! God is good...and we are so thankful every day for the joy that Colby has brought us. Here's what we've been up to lately....
FOOD- Colby is still eating everything in sight. We're feeding him more and more finger foods and he's doing great feeding himself. Some of his favorites are ravioli, rolls, cheese, chicken, tortillas, potatoes, crackers, beans, peas, pasta, etc...pretty much anything that we can tear into smaller pieces!! He eats a "meal" 3-4 times a day. I would have thought he'd weigh 100 pounds by now, but I guess he's burning more and more energy, so he needs more calories.
DRINK- he's still drinking a full 6-8oz bottle in the morning and a 4oz bottle at night. During the day he may drink an extra 4-8oz, but now that he's eating so much real food, he's not getting as much formula. He's been drinking water from a sippy cup for awhile now, but just this past weekend, he learned to suck through a straw, so I'll be on a mission tomorrow for straw sippy cups! :)
WEIGHT- the last time we went for an appt, Dr. Kastner told us that since Colby was healthy, we should skip his 9 month appointment and just bring him in when he's 12 months. You know this drives me crazy because I like to see percentiles!! haha...but at the same time, I love to save a $25 copay and I know it's a good thing to keep Colby away from those hospital germs. SO....yesterday I jumped on the scale with Colby, so his unofficial 10 month weight is 21 pounds! Go Colby, Go!
FUN STUFF- Colby is not crawling "traditionally", but he is army crawling all over the place! He'll follow us all over the house, and he's getting pretty quick. He is also pulling himself up to a standing position while he's holding onto the couch or chair or toys. It's so cute! He looks over at us and shows us how proud his is of himself. :) He also loves for us to hold onto him while he walks behind and pushes his new walker toy. He could do that for hours! (I've seen a few mini temper tantrums when we stop)
TALKING- Colby says "mama" and "dada", and I think he knows what it means, but he also just says both as he's babbling to himself. When we lay him down for a nap, he will babble and sing to himself for about 45 minutes before he falls asleep! It's so cute though. He also has a happy scream that he lets out often. Travis is a little concerned with the high pitch, but I'm sure he'll sound more manly eventually. :)
He also knows how to wave bye-bye and shake his head "no", but he will not do either one on demand, and I don't think he really knows what either one means! haha
SLEEP- he's still a pretty good sleeper. He usually gets 2-3 naps each day...about 1 and 1/2 hours each. He goes to bed at night somewhere around 6:30-7:30 and he sleeps for about 12 hours.
HAIR- he has tons! Trav gave me the go-ahead to cut it again because it was getting out of control, but after one bad snip, I think he will let me start taking him to a professional....luckily I sort of evened it out, so it's not bad, but I am NOT a barber...sorry!!
I have been a terrible photographer lately! I think it's because we have been so busy, but we're having a blast! We've spent lots of time with good friends this month, and we love every second of our time with all of them!!
We hung out at Kayla and Levi's house for the National Championship game with our bible study group, and had a blast!! It was a sad loss for UT, but I think they played pretty well considering the circumstances.
Colby got to play with lots of friends! Here he is playing with Brooks Johnson
and here Colby and I are reading with Miss Harper
I think he's sad for Colt McCoy :(
playing with daddy's fuzzy hair!
Travis' grandparents from Oklahoma came in town for a few days, so Colby got to spend lots of time with them. He loves for his great-grandma Gram to sing to him. :)
4 generations of Anthony boys
playing with Gram

standing up all by himself!!
it's a little bit scary, but also a fun milestone for our growing boy! He's becoming very independent. :)
loooooooooving some ravioli
I love this boy!! This is how he gives kisses!! :) He'll lean his head toward yours and open his mouth as wide as he can.
I think he is officially "mobile"...look out world, here he comes!!!

Sweet Baby Rhett!
We got a call Saturday night from Jeffery telling us that Hope was having some pretty serious contractions....sadly, I was not much help at all since my contractions never became painful, and we never had to time them. Sunday morning we found out that baby Rhett should be here around lunch time. I was soooooooooo excited!! I couldn't wait to meet that little baby Schneider boy. He finally arrived at 2:50pm, weighing a precious teeny tiny 5 pounds 9 ounces, 19 inches long. I don't think I had ever seen such a tiny baby. He is perfect!! Congratulations Hope and Jeffrey!! We love yall!!

Here he is playing with a new toy that his Aunt Erika gave him....he was CRACKING me up!!! He would just stare at it and try to figure out what in the world was going on!! :)
Here's my baby holding his bottle and getting ready for bed...he's growing up too too fast, but he sure is fun!!!
