Soccer Superstar!

I think that 3/4 year old soccer was more of a learning experience for me than it was for Colby. :)

Here are just  a few things that I learned along the way:

1. 3 year olds have no concept of team sports....we teach them to share and let other people have a turn and be nice, so turning around and telling them to go tackle someone and get the ball away from them is an extremely foreign concept

2. There is a BIG difference between 3 and 4 year olds

3. Travis is an AMAZING coach for toddler sports!! I loved hearing those sweet little kiddos call him "coach" and take pictures with him after the games :)

4. I LOVE watching Colby have fun playing with his friends. We definitely had some major meltdowns along the way, but I'm so glad we signed up for toddler soccer. It was a blast! We got to hang out with good friends and meet new friends, and I can't wait for the next sport Colby gets to play!

 After the last game, we all met in a room for the big trophy ceremony! :) The kids were SO EXCITED and Trav got to pass out the trophies. TOO CUTE!

Say WHAT?!??

As I'm typing this, I'm thinking that there are only THREE more weeks until my scheduled c-section. The c-section that has been scheduled since November. The one that I've been about 95% sure that I would be having. I was just sure that Cami would be like her big brother and be flipped around and not cooperative. I was totally fine with that. I feel like I've been there, done that, and I'm comfortable with the surgery and recovery that comes with it.

Tuesday, at my 1st weekly appointment, Dr. Greene told me that Camryn is head down and pretty small as of now (I think that just means she's not going to be a 10 pound baby- phew!) She said there really wasn't any reason why she thought I would need to have a c-section and that there was an 80% chance that this would be a "normal labor." WHAT?!?? I know that is supposed to be a good thing, but I'm not very good at changing plans. I need time to process. I have been processing a repeat c-section for about 9 months now. :)

I knew from the beginning that we would assess the situation closer to the due date and then decide what the best option would be. It's just that in my head, I figured it would look the same way it did with Colby. WRONG!

I'm starting to get excited just because now there is an element of surprise involved. But at the same time, that makes me super nervous and quite frankly, terrified! I've never been more than 37 weeks pregnant, my water has never broken, I've never had ANY labor pains, I've never waited for an epidural and hoped that it would work, I've never had to take my baby home from the hospital the day after they were born, etc, etc, etc.

I guess for now, Cami is just keeping us on our toes. Of course there is still a chance for a c-section....we'll just have to see how it goes....it will be a SURPRISE!!! :)

35 weeks!

The weeks are just ticking away! I can't believe I've been carrying this tiny baby for 35 weeks. We have less than a month to go, and while I'm a little anxious about the day that Camryn arrives and the few days afterwards, I cannot wait! I know that we have tons of friends and family who are willing to help us out with anything we need, and I plan on taking them up on their offers!! :)

I've been feeling pretty good this week. Still have alot of baby activity on my right side and up in my ribs, but either I'm just getting used to it or it's easing up a little bit, because I'm getting comfortable enough to fall asleep easily and I've been sleeping all night (other than the times I've woken up thanks to Colby's nightmares).

I start seeing Dr. G. weekly, and I'm excited about my 36 week check-up. I'm sure she's going to tell me that nothing is happening yet, (I really don't feel any low pressure) but as I learned from my first pregnancy, you NEVER know what they might say.

Clothes are washed, swing is down from the attic, crib is put together, and bedding is on. Travis is still painting the dresser and we still need to "decorate," but as far as I'm concerned, Camryn can come whenever she's ready to at this point! Until then, we'll just keep waiting for our sweet girl and enjoying our last few weeks as a family of 3.

I can't think of a BETTER reason to celebrate!!

Our Easter weekend is always packed full of fun festivities and we wouldn't have it any other way. I tried to condense it all into one post. I'm not very good at condensing, :) but I tried!!!

Colby was SO EXCITED to be on the Wildcat football field. He really wasn't even too interested in the egg hunt part. When they said go, he started making a mad dash for the end zone at the other end of the field. Luckily there were quite a few eggs, so we still managed to grab a few.

He was excited to see what was inside of his eggs, but he was much more interested in running up and down the field :)

This bunny totally creeped me out, but Colby was PUMPED and jumped right up in his lap!

After he got about 5 eggs, he told us his basket was full. :) I'd like to think he was just letting the other kids have a chance to get lots of eggs, but I'm pretty sure he just didn't care.

SO happy that Uncle Big came home for Easter weekend!!!

Easter at the Anthonys

The Easter Bunny was very good to Colby this year. He got lots of fun goodies. (most of which I have packed away for a rainy day...AKA: when Camryn gets here)

We wrapped up the night with an egg hunt in the living room. :) Colby loved it!

Streater Egg Hunt

After church on Sunday morning, we went to my parents house for an egg hunt and yummy breakfast.

Thank you to the Easter Bunny for unwrapping the smarties before putting them in the eggs so that Colby could just pour them into his mouth!

Macey Easter at the Farm

Colby LOVES going out to Harry and Dee Dee's farm. There is so much to do. Riding 4-wheelers and golf carts, watching the longhorns, throwing rocks, throwing sticks into the tank, chasing the puppies, the list goes on and on! We had lots of great family fun on Sunday afternoon celebrating Easter at the farm. We went on a hayride to go tour the Macey's new house and then to find flowers for the Easter nests (a Zinsmeyer Ranch family tradition that we've started up in Temple), dyed Easter eggs, had a great big egg hunt, and the Easter bunny brought fun Easter nest surprises for the kiddos (including baby Hudson and baby Camryn who will be here in the next month!!)

Once again, Colby gathered about 5 or 6 eggs and then decided his basket was full. :)
