X-RAY
As most of you know, my sweet husband, Travis, had an unfortunate accident involving a barstool last summer in Destin. It was BAD, and it has been bothering him ever since....
Well, today he was talking to an orthopedic surgeon about his summer research, and they decided to take some quick x-rays.
If you're looking at the x-ray, the outside of Trav's knee is on the left side of the picture. You can see at the joint, on the left side, there is a little piece of BONE floating around in there. Poor guy!! I guess as of now, they're just going to keep an eye on it. Hopefully he won't have to have surgery. That just makes me cringe thinking of Trav hitting the ground so hard that some of his bone chipped off!!!!!!!!! EW!

Bug...
Well, mom took Colby BACK to the doctor this morning after having a few nights/mornings with fevers. (this morning it was 102.6) Turns out that his ears looked good, but he has a little bug now!! No new meds, so that's a good thing. I hope he's feeling better SOON. I felt so sorry for him this morning...he was burning up, his little cheeks were pink and he was laying his head on daddy's shoulder. Poor little guy.
On a happier note, we had SO MUCH FUN this weekend playing in our blow up crab pool from BJ and Ashley!!! (I'm not sure who enjoyed it more...Buddy or Colby...)

I took these pictures with my phone...not sure why this one is orange, but Buddy looooooved having Colby outside to play with him
Of course, we had to end this post with kisses for all of Colby's favorite people!!
Temple Public Library
I just checked out the summer calendar for the Temple Public Library this summer and it looks like there is lots of fun things for kids!! Every Wednesday morning they have toddler time (starting at 10:30) and story time, and then on thursday mornings at 10:30, there is a fun live performance. They have magicians, puppet shows, musicians, animal tricks, singing zoologists, etc. Colby and I will definitely be hanging out there this summer if anyone wants to join us!! :)

Colby update
First of all, I want to say WELCOME HOME AUNT ERIKA!!! She is home from London for a week, and Colby is so excited!!
In other news, We are still battling an ear infection.
He's been a little sicky for about a month now (and...has been trying to get his back molars for about a month now also....coincidence?!?)
He's been through 10 days of an antibiotic for a double ear infection, and now he's on another round for his left ear...which probably never fully healed.
He has been on the 2nd antibiotic for 5 days now and is starting to get mild fevers again, so we're taking him BACK to the doctor tomorrow morning.
Poor little baby...luckily for us, he's a good baby, even when he's sick. You can just tell that he's not his happy self. He easily becomes upset and frustrated, and he's not sleeping as good as usual. Hopefully after tomorrow, we'll REALLY be on our way to getting him well again.
Here are some pictures from last week at my mom's house. New favorite thing: bucket of water!!
Crawfish Birthday Boil
On Saturday night, we celebrated Jenn and Patrick's birthdays with a Crawfish Boil!! It was so fun, and as always, I loved watching the little ones interact with each other. I'm already picturing where they'll all be by next summer....look out T-town!!! Thank you Jenn and Blake for opening your home and backyard for a fun filled evening!!
I love these two precious babies!! (Colby 14 months, Jenna Mae 11 months)
Dan tried to feed Colby crawfish...
Oh! Here were some of the adults at the party (plus Colby) I just realized I pretty much only have pictures of the kids!!! haha....what a GREAT Saturday evening with friends. Happy Birthday Jenn and Patrick!!

Just Between Friends Sale
Just in case anyone is interested, the Bell County Just Between Friends Sale is this weekend at the Expo Center!
Thursday night is when you can drop things off that you want to consign (directions online).
Thursday at 8:00 is the first time moms presale (sign up on their website)
Friday and Saturday the sale is open to the public
Sunday is the 1/2 price sale (when just about EVERYTHING left is 1/2 off!)
This is stuff that other moms are selling at super cheap prices. I went to the sale in the fall and bought an umbrella stroller for $10 and several outfits for Colby. (including the one he wore in his 1 year pictures!!) I also got an awesome bathtub seat that I have started using recently now that Colby can sit up and enjoy the bathtub. There was TONS of stuff there, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who needs more play clothes or extra baby equiptment to keep at grandma's house or anythign like that. Definitely go if you can and shop as early as possible for the best stuff.
Check out their website!!
Prayer Request for a sweet family
Please check out the Williams family blog, reflections of Reagan, and keep this sweet family in your prayers. Reagan is recovering from heart surgery with her mom in California while her dad and brother are holding down the fort back in Temple. I know they have ALOT (that is an understatement) on their plates and would appreciate your prayers. Check out their blog to learn more about them...they are an incredible inspiration!!

Enjoying each Moment
One of Travis' medical school buddies has a really awesome blog. The other day, I happened to read a post that he wrote about enjoying our journey and not wishing time away. It was just what I needed here at the end of the school year....as I am wishing the next 3 weeks away. I truly need to stop and soak up what God has in store for me today...and not wish for tomorrow. Thanks Drew for the encouragement!

Last week, I got to take a day off work and spend the entire day with COLBY!!
It was awesome...a little taste of our summer together. 1st order of business was giving him a haircut!! It was verging on gross because it was getting so long...I'm talking 4-5 inches long! I was going to just trim it up until I could get him in to see Nikki or Jana, but then I decided I was doing pretty good, so I just kept going!! :) The best part was that it was FREE.
Here are some pics of my sweet little boy from our day together. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!
this one is my favorite :)
walking back and forth from me to the chair was his favorite thing to do all day long

Mother's Day
My second mother's day was soooooooooooooo awesome!! I seriously just loved the whole day. Travis was so wonderful and made sure I had an extra special day- it was much appreciated!! 1st- he woke up with Colby at 6:45 and let me sleep in. I woke up to the smell of something yummy!! Trav brought me breakfast in bed- complete with a breakfast casserole he had been making all morning!!!
We ate breakfast in bed and watched Father of the Bride (one of my favorites) together while Colby took his morning nap.
We went to church, and sadly, Colby cried the entire time in the nursery. :( I'm not giving up though- I know he can do it!!!
After church, we went to Wildflower brunch with all of our parents and my grandmother. It was GREAT!! Colby was in such a good mood...especially considering the fact that he'd been screaming for the past hour. I think he was extremely happy to see us!!
Mom watched Colby for the afternoon so that we could clean our house (I was hosting BUNKO the next night.) I know that doesn't sound like a great mother's day activity, but it was SO nice after we cleaned it- it was worth it!!
THANK YOU Travis, Colby, mom, dad, Kathy, Rick, Dylan and Dougie for making my mother's day extra special. Love y'all!!!
beautiful daisies and sweet card from my boys
So happy this little man has made me a mom...I love him to pieces!!!
PARTIES!
2 of Colby's best friends' one year birthdays were both on the same day! FUN! Mason Martin and Karington Kopriva were both born 3 weeks after Colby, and they both celebrated their first years with SUPER fun parties in their backyards. We had a blast and Colby loved playing with other peoples' toys.
First, we headed to the Martin's brand new beautiful home for Mason's barnyard birthday bash. We were running way late....typical...we almost missed the petting zoo!!! But luckily, the baby goat was still out, and Colby LOVED him!!!!!
kisses!!
