Mommy and Colby Memorial Day

After a SUPER lazy weekend, I was determined to do something fun with Colby on Monday.

We started with donut holes from Shipley's (YUM!)

Next stop was the Mayborn Museum in Waco....and look what we spotted on our way there!!! (Colby knows trash trucks, backhoes, dump trucks, skid steers, tow trucks, cranes, tractors, cement mixer trucks, etc....but he didn't know quite what to say about the weinermobile!!!

The first thing we saw at the museum was the train exhibit which is right in the middle of everything. COLBY WAS IN HEAVEN!!!

I thought that Colby was going to scare himself to death in this little music room. When he turned the keyboard on it was SO LOUD!!!! But he LOVED IT! He was jammin'

Colby walked into the indian room without paying attention, but as soon as he saw that huge buffalo, he RAN out!!! haha

He was not a fan of the mammoth fossils either....he did not understand that you could walk on the glass on top of the fossils (don't you love this face?!??)

We wrapped up our museum morning with some coloring

Lazy weekend

While daddy studied the weekend away, Colby and I were just plain lazy! Sweet Nona and Pappy (and uncle DJ) watched Colby for a few hours on Saturday morning so that I could run some errands (think sunscreen, aloe, travel size hairspray and tank tops.....OH! And a new mini-camera!) And my momma kept him on Sunday for a few hours so that I could finish my errands. Other than that, we pretty much hung out in the backyard with Buddy and watched the movie Cars about 8 times...Thanks Villarreal family for letting us borrow it!! (I'm trying to decide if we'll be ready for our first movie theater movie this summer when Cars II comes out...maybe we'll wait for the Redbox version)

I LOVE LAZY DAYS! Can't wait for a summer full of 'em!!

3 days to STEP 1

Daddy has been studying ALOT lately for his big test on Friday. He leaves in the morning before we wake up and most nights he comes home when we're asleep (or if I'm not asleep, I'm close). I'm SO GLAD that we're finally on the homestretch and can put this test behind us. We're ready to get our daddy back! :)

For the past week or so I've been trying to take Colby up to see Travis at least once a day. We've taken him starbucks coffee and McDonald's fruit and yogurt cups. We've even discovered an AMAZING new drink for Colby- Horizon Vanilla Milk from Starbucks- it's in a juice box and tastes like a milkshake!!!! YUM!

One night, Colby even got to watch a helicopter land on the roof!!!

Even if there's no helicopter, there's ALWAYS some ambulance or firetruck action

WE LOVE YOU DADDY AND WE ARE SOOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!

YAAY DAN!!

Last weekend we celebrated DAN!!! He graduates from his ortho residency in a few weeks, and we wanted to make sure we celebrated before things got too busy and hectic. Chana did such a GREAT job of making it extra special. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU DAN! Go do your job in Florida so you guys can come back home ASAP! :)

Boys will be Boys...

And these 2 had us ROLLING on Monday night. We had a dinner/playdate with Marla and Caleb, and Travis and I had more fun watching these boys play together.

Marla- thanks for bringing the entertainment Monday- we LOVE sweet Caleb!!! (and you and Jason too, of course :))

Rachel's Last Supper

Our little bible study/supper club group has made it a tradition to get all the girls together right before a new baby is born for a "last supper" to celebrate mommy and baby. A few weeks ago, we got together at Cheeve's for a wonderful evening of catching up, drinking some wine and celebrating Rachel and baby Blain.

PS....Blain made his big debut today, May 16th!!! 8 pounds 15 ounces :) Welcome to the world big boy!!!
