Farewell!

We (at KP) must say goodbye to our dear friend Melissa Leach. She has decided to take a job teaching teachers instead of teaching kindergarten! It's a great move for her and she's going to be perfect for the job, but we'll be sad to lose her at Kennedy-Powell. We love you Melissa! Have fun in Waco!! :)

Supper Club

Last Friday night we had a taco dinner Fiesta at our house for supper club. It was so fun... as usual. The little girls kept us extremely entertained with their running around and dancing. At the end of the night they were reading pregnancy books (yes, that's all I had) to each other in our bed!!! hahah....it was so sweet- I love it!

Yes, these poor sweet girls had to eat on the FLOOR since we don't have enough chairs...

Can't wait for next month!!! :)

I am literally laughing out loud right now because I was looking through Holly's pictures on myspace and came across these pictures from that same random crazy night that I posted pictures from the other day!!! PLEASE notice the words to the song that Travis is jammin' to!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!

I can't tell you how many times I have been asked if we are related!! :) I'll take it as a compliment!!

15 weeks!

We have made it to week 15...actually almost 16 now! Time flies when you're having fun....but this is dragging out forever it seems like!!! :)

Our doctor's appointment last week was wonderful. We got to hear the heartbeat after searching for what seemed like eternity...I think it was 159...which is good. I am taking an extra iron supplement because my blood count is low, but otherwise, everything was just as it was supposed to be. I am so thankful that I have been feeling great, my students at school are wonderful and life is good.

We were supposed to find out the baby's gender next week, BUT....we decided after talking to Dr. Greene that if we really wanted to find out the gender, we should wait a few more weeks for the ultrasound. Now the ultrasound will not be until November 14th, but I will be 20 weeks by then, so that will be the perfect time for checking to see if the baby is healthy and to find out the gender! I just hope I can wait that long...I was so anxious and excited that it was almost time...now I have another month to go.

I know you are all excited to find out the fruit size this week......APPLE! I'm thinking a big apple! :) Thank you again to everyone for keeping us in your prayers...we could not have asked for a better pregnancy so far. This baby is so blessed that he/she is already being prayed for and loved by so many people.

***Travis flies to El Paso on Wednesday night and interviews on Thursday, so keep him in mind later this week. We are thankful for this opportunity for him. ***

Hook 'em Horns (and Sic' em Bears!)

I finally downloaded pictures onto my computer this weekend, so I wanted to catch up on the Anthony family fun that I have missed on the blog. Some of these are a little old, but better late than never!

This past weekend we had some people over to our house to watch the big UT/Oklahoma football game for Travis' birthday. It was SO fun- especially since Texas won!! Buddy even got dressed up for the occasion...he loved it!!!

Travis could NOT sit still. He was ALL OVER THE PLACE!

A few months ago, we had a night out with Ashley, BJ, Hope, Jeffrey, Holly and Adam....can you say RANDOM?!? What would they do without a designated driver these days???

14 weeks

Our life is seriously about as exciting as this blog has been for the past 2 weeks...not too much going on. We are 14 weeks into pregnancy. Still feeling pretty good. This week, my babycenter email said that baby is about the size of a lemon! Yay! Last week I was a little disappointed when I got the news that the baby was the size of a medium shrimp...I mean, come on....a shrimp?!? I think that is smaller than a lime! So, this week's news of a lemon did bring me much joy. Our next appointment is Wednesday, and we are very anxiously anticipating our ultrasound appointment on the 21st! I am DYING to know if we will be having a precious little girl or sweet baby boy so that I can narrow down my search for the perfect nursery decor. :) I still feel like it will be a little early though since I will only be about 16 and a half weeks, but oh well, we'll see...I'm not a doctor.

Speaking of doctors, Travis received his second invite to interview for medical school! This time he will be traveling all the way to EL PASO!! I know that this is extremely far away, but I'm also very excited for Travis to have this opportunity. Thank you to those who have been keeping Travis in your prayers, and please continue to pray for him as goes through this application and interviewing process. It has definitely been a learning experience for both of us as well as a lesson in patience. As unsure as I am of what the next year has in store for us, I am confident that wherever we end up, we will have a purpose for being there. (Although, I'm still hoping that our purpose is in Temple, but as I have learned, I have to let go of my life planning, because I am not in charge!) I heard a song on KLOVE this week by Francesca Battistelli that talks about letting go of the life that you planned and trusting that God has planned a life for you that can not compare to your own dreams. I love it! It's called "I'm letting go."
