Wow!! The end of July was a blur....

It's almost August?!?? Thank goodness for Iphone pictures, because we've been way too busy to get out the "real" camera. :) I also took a ton of pictures on my phone this month to send to Travis so that he could stay in the loop while they worked him to death in Oklahoma. 

Here's a random recap of the last few weeks...

 Colby started his new Sunday School class at church in the big kids hall....he's not in the nursery anymore! Thank goodness Jenna Mae was there so that he had a buddy. Best part of July? DADDY COMING HOME!!!!! 

Worst part of July? Realizing that he only got 2 days off and then had to start back up at Scott & White (just kidding, that was totally not the worst part...haha...but it was a big bummer since we though he'd have a week off !! :))

This morning, Colby, Camryn and I went to Powerhouse Cheer and Fitness for open gym. I've been trying to go all summer and we FINALLY made it. It was SO FUN!!!! They have a huge blow up bounce house, lots of trampolines, bouncy balls, foam pit, etc. Kayla and Pierce and Liz and Mason joined us too and we ran into other friends once we got there, too!! The only downfall was that it was just an hour long...I'm pretty sure we could have stayed all day.

I was so surprised that she slept in her carseat for a good bit of the time that we were there. She HATES that seat, but apparently she was having sweet dreams and didn't mind it. Jett was the happiest little baby!!! His mommy assured me that after Camryn hits the 3 month mark, she'll be just as happy. :) 

 Colby and Mason are 2 peas in a pod....they had so much fun. After open gym, we had lunch with Mason and Liz at Chick-fil-A and then I introduced Colby to TCBY....YUM!!!! I am obsessed with white chocolate mousse!!!

Hoping for a repeat next Wednesday!!

2 months

 Cami!! You're 2 months old and I'm so thankful that we've survived up to this point. It was questionable in the beginning. The past few weeks have been full of smiles, giggles, coos and more and more happy time. This brings me GREAT JOY!!! You still have your moments. I think your tummy is just giving you fits, but you are a trooper. Everyone keeps telling me that there is a major turning point between 10 and 12 weeks when babies are just suddenly happier....we've almost made it!! 

Here are a few things about you at 2 months:
-you love bath time- I think the warm water soothes your tummy
-you eat about 3 ounces every 2-3 hours (sometimes you only eat 2 ounces and sometimes it's 4)
-you are happiest at about 4am...it makes it totally worth the loss of sleep
-you sleep best in your bouncy seat at night and in your swing during the day (hopefully I don't                                 regret this, but for now I don't even care!!)
- you hate your car seat, changing clothes and me putting headbands on you....sorry...all 3 of these are necessities...
- you don't love your pacifier, but I'm still trying to make you take it...I just KNOW you'll love it someday soon :)
- you are wearing size 1 diapers and 0-3 month clothes
- you usually go to sleep around 10pm, wake up around 3 or 4 and then again around 6 or 7
- I'm trying to keep the eat, wake, sleep schedule, but you don't always follow the rules, so every day is a different and new day....and that's ok
- we usually call you Cami or Cam Cam and I'm pretty sure you love it
- your hair is a constant conversation piece...you just wouldn't be you without it and you turn heads everywhere we go!

Cami girl, your brother, mommy and daddy love you SO VERY MUCH! Can't wait for month #3!!!! Hoping for a little more sleep and smiley time!!! 

Cartoons

One of my favorite parts of the day....after I've had a cup of coffee...is morning cartoons. It seems like everyone is just so calm, and calm is what I crave these days! 

Colby is such a sweet big brother, and although you'd think Cami would want him to stay out of her face, I think she actually likes it. She hardly ever cries when he is face to face talking to her. Love these 2 babies!

ZMZ Ranch Camp 2012

Every year my mom's extended family gets together for ZMZ Ranch Camp! The past few years we went to the Frio River, and this year it was South Padre Island. I originally told my parents we would have to pass on the trip this year. It was just going to be TOO much with a newborn and a 7 hour trip there and back, but after thinking about it, I decided we might as well go. Colby would have a blast, I wanted to hang out with family and I would have way more help than I would have had by myself at home. 

I'm SO glad we decided to go. We all had a blast and made lots of memories. I'm not even going to try to get these pictures in order so they may be a little random.

 It was nice for Cami to spend some time with her great-grandparents

 on Friday we went to the Sea Life Center which is super cool...they have tons of native fish and ocean creatures to look at and even some that you can touch and pick up...they are extremely focused on teaching people about ocean life, so it was very kid friendly and Colby loved it!

 Next stop was Sea Turtle Inc....so cool to see the sea turtles up close and personal. This place is basically a rehab facility for sick and wounded sea turtles. I'm pretty sure this one wanted to give Colby a big kiss!!

 On Friday night, my cousin Rocco did a Shrimp Boil for everyone. It was fun for us all to get together and hang out for the evening....it was LOUD and CRAZY, but fun!!!!

 the beach is not Pops' favorite place, but Colby sure did love it when he came down to play!!!!!

Cami spent most of her time in the condo. It was just too hot and sandy for her to be outside much, but I did want to take her down to the beach at least once! :) She loved it.

 HB, dad and I went out early Tuesday morning for a guided fishing trip.

We didn't catch many, but we caught some big ones!!
