Supper Club Celebration

You know it's going to be a good night when you walk in and see THIS!

YUM! :)

We knew that since the Stahl girls would be in town on Monday, we had to plan supper club around them and get together that evening. It worked out perfectly because everyone was there! (that is a very rare occasion these days) Last year we started a new book exchange tradition for the kiddos, so we decided that this would be a great time to do it while Chandler and Reagan were here. The kids were precious and very excited about their new books. (Colby got a new construction truck book- he LOVES IT!) It was a great night of yummy Coronas mexican food, Go Go's cupcakes, new books, and lots of laughter and catching up with friends. We even got to "face time" Dan in Florida. :) I'm so thankful for this incredible group of Christian friends. These are the memories we'll never forget.

Baby Pierce and his precious blue eyes

Reagan, Lee and Jenna Mae

When did these kids get big enough to sit at the table?!??

LOVE! (when we started, we just had TWO baby girls...by next summer, we'll have THIRTEEN!)

Colby said "It's my birthday!" :)

Jenna Mae and her new Tickle Monster book!

Cuddle-bug Grace and her new polar bear friend

Later in the evening, the kiddos were all back in Landyn's room and were being way too quiet. I went back to check on them and they had set up an operating room! They were taking turns doing surgery on each other- TOO FUNNY!!!!!

Thank you Dr. Stahl for fixing my baby boy! :)

Can't wait to see these sweet friends again for our Christmas party!!!

Look who came to see us!!!

On Monday we were SO THANKFUL to get to spend some time with the Stahl girls!! (Sadly, Dan Dan had to work) HOW PRECIOUS ARE THEY???? I need Reagan to give Colby some lessons on how to smile for the camera- this girl has got it down!!
We took the girls with us to supper club Monday night (that will have to be it's own post) and then Reagan and Chana spent the night with us while Landyn and Chandler had their first slumber party. :)

breakfast on Tuesday morning :)

saying goodbye....see you back in Texas in June!!!!

Nona's famous spaghetti

With a few extra Anthonys in town the past few weeks, there has never been a dull moment. Last Friday night, we went over to the Anthony's house for Nona's FAMOUS spaghetti. YUM!!! Somehow, these 2 got put in charge of the noodles....I'm still not sure that it was a good idea to add 3 pounds of noodles at the same time, but there's no point in trying to argue with them.

Saying Goodbye...

This week we had to say goodbye to an incredible husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Papa Anthony. I really can't think of the perfect words to say, but I am so thankful that we got to spend some time with him in the past few weeks. I'm so thankful that we got to tell him that we love him and that we got to say goodbye. He was such a joyful, loving, and loyal man. I will always cherish the time that we got to spend with him and the memories we made together. I'm thankful that 5 1/2 years ago, when Travis and I got married, he became my Papa in-law. :)

This weekend we are heading up to Oklahoma to celebrate the life of Robert Lee Anthony- We will miss you so much, but we know that you are in heaven with Jesus and we will be with you again someday. :)

Baby Macey's 1st Thanksgiving

How cute are these turkey cookies?!?? :)

I LOVE THANKSGIVING!!! I love thankging Jesus for all of the blessings in our lives, I love getting together with family and laughing and story telling and catching up, I love eating way too much turkey and mashed potatoes and then going home and crashing afterwards, I love having 9 days off, and I love that the pilgrims and indians befriended each other so that they could celebrate their first harvest together. This year we decided to do my mom's family Thanksgiving the weekend before Thanksgiving Day. It was a great way to kick off the holidays, and we had an extra special blessing to be Thankful for- Macey Kyle Brent (only 2 weeks old) was celebrating her FIRST Thanksgiving!!! What a treat!!

Great Grandma (Mamaw), Grandma (DeeDee), Macey and mommy (Haley)

This was Mamaw's 1st time to meet her great grandbaby.

More cute cookies! Way to go mom!!

Colby's first time to meet sweet baby Macey! He was very gentle with her which made me happy.

checking out her aggie turkey shirt

Look Macey! I have a turkey on my shirt, too!!

Colby and Auntie Lisa

How precious is this 2 week old baby footprint????

Colby's 2 1/2 year old handprint turkeys were pretty cute, too!

Mimsy and Macey

Since I had just been by the Brent's house to visit baby Macey earlier in the week, I tried not to be a baby hog, but I still just stared at her the whole night. She was SO well behaved and TINY I just couldn't get enough of her.

Mamaw and Papaw with their newest great grandbaby

Doens't get much better than this...

Mamaw and Papaw with Papaw's brother Joe and his wife, Phyllis (new Texas residents)

Colby was trying to figure out what was up with the big bow on Macey's head and the bows on her shoes :)

Colby and Jackson were very sweet little boys....she slept through her entire "play time" with them.

Next Thanksgiving, we'll have 2 more babies to add to the mix! HB's wife, Lynnsay is due 2 weeks before me on May 2nd. :)

Turkey Shirt :)

SO MUCH has changed in a year. :) Thankfully one thing that hasn't changed too much is Colby's size....we got 2 years out of this turkey shirt...I definitely feel like I got my money's worth now!!

Time to fill up the freezer!

We have not had deer meat in the freezer for months now, so I am definitely glad that hunting season is finally here! We spent the first 2 weekends of deer season in D'Hanis, and Colby was in heaven down at the ranch. Animals, flashlights, tractors and lots of DIRT...what more could a little boy need??

Brittany was braver than mommy...I wanted no part of petting the pig...

checkin out daddy's progress with Uncle Terry

As if the ranch wasn't fun enough....Uncle Terry found a green light to clip onto Colby's hat!

driving around the ranch with daddy was also a favorite activity

Uncle Big and Elyse joined us for the 2nd weekend!!

Look what HB got!
