Right after we left the football game, we headed down to D'Hanis, Tx (about a 3 hour drive) to stay the weekend at my grandparents' house. My parents as well as my Auntie Lisa and Uncle Harry were down there as well, so we were excited about the family time. There was definitely a tense 10 minutes of our trip when we thought Colby might not stop crying, but finally he was asleep and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way.
I can't speak for us all when I say that it was a wonderful and relaxing weekend. I think Trav had a good time, but he definitely WORKED HARD while we were there. He and my dad and uncle were shredding and weed eating and filling feeders with huge sacks of corn to get ready for deer season. They even killed 2 rattlesnakes!!
Colby and I, on the other hand, enjoyed the small town country life at Mamaw and Papaw's house. We started our day with Colby sleeping until 8:30- YAY!
Then, after some bird watching, Papaw walked Colby to the post office to pick up the mail and a newspaper. How awesome is it that they just walk to the post office down the street?? I love it!
After lunch, Mamaw took Colby outside (since he was standing at the backdoor begging "outside! outside! outside?!?" for like 15 minutes) and they watched hummingbirds. After telling him that they were hummingbirds, he started repeating and can say hummingbird pretty well!! haha....it's so funny to hear him repeat big words or phrases...he breaks them into chunks....ah-meen- bur :) and then, of course, repeats them over and over and over again.
After naptime, it started POURING outside, and since we were in small town mode, of course we let Colby go play. He also discovered some bubbles and begged for them. After watching us blow bubbles for awhile, he wanted to blow his own. This ended with bubbles coming out of his nose and mouth because instead of holding the wand away from his face and blowing, he thought it was better to put it IN his mouth and blow....YUCK!

Hah that is funny... that he has the off clip on!!! We have one of those and it is AWESOME! It definitely works! Yall are too cute! Wish we could have made that trip! Looks like yall had fun!
