Never-ending Battle

What am I going to do with this little boy??? In August, we found out that one of Colby's ear tubes had come out of place. Since then he has had several severe ear infections. Over Christmas break he had an ear infection for 3 weeks which finally ended thanks to Rocephin shots. (AKA- TORTURE)
We were finally referred back to ENT to check Colby out and see if he would be a good candidate for tube replacement. After a 40 minute hearing test (yes, they seriously expected him to sit in my lap and follow directions for 40 minutes) and a visit with a sweet, sweet nurse practitioner, we scheduled tube replacement for February 21st. As much as I do not want Colby to have to go back in for the surgery, I know that he needs those tubes. (it turns out the other tube is falling out also, so it will need to be replaced at the same time)
Carrot snack after hearing test. The medical student who came in to see us was so impressed that a toddler was snacking on such a healthy snack! Little did she know that we had already gone through a box of nerds, a lollipop, a bag of fruit snacks and 2 rolls of Smarties. :)
Such a big boy sitting in the big chair. Colby was SO GOOD to let everyone look in his ears. He informed them that there was probably a ladybug in one of them and a cow in the other. :) Can you tell we do this often? You never know if he's going to throw a huge fit or be a precious angel. Thankfully, on Wednesday, he was pretty precious.

I love that Colby told them there was a ladybug in one ear and a cow in the other. Too cute! :)
