Last year, Travis and I made the HUGE mistake of going to see the lights at BLORA on Christmas Eve night. We waited in line for an hour to even get in, and then it took an hour to drive through....not to mention we had a 9 month old! Click here to see my post from last year.....for some reason it seems like it was way worse than my post sounds....I must have really been in the Christmas spirit when I was writing it.
Anyway, THIS YEAR, we decided that we would go while Uncle Big (Doug) and Elyse were in town, so Tuesday night, we loaded into Pops' Suburban and headed out to see the Nature in Lights. (My brother, Elyse and my parents had never been!!)
After taking bets to see how long we would have to wait in line, we only ended up having to wait about 5 minutes. It was great. We cranked up the Christmas music, rolled down the windows, opened lots of snacks, and drove through BLORA to check out all of the awesome lights. Needless to say, Colby especially loved the trucks and the choo choo train. He kept saying "there are lights EVERYWHERE!" and "big, BIg, BIIG, BIIIIIIIIIIG choo choo train!" :) We had lots of fun, and I'm so glad we got to enjoy it with Mimsy, Pops, Uncle Big and Elyse this year.
Colby hung his head out the window like a dog....one time he even tried to crawl out to go see the lights up close! :)

Next year you all should visit Santa's Wonderland in College Station! You must park and go in for all the fun. You should also take advantage of the hay ride through the lights! You guys would love it!!
Thanks Katy- that sounds so fun!!
